The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) announced today a new partnership with REKS®, a leader in sports performance optics featuring Ski Goggles and Sunglasses. REKS specializes in sun protection with prescription lens options and now offers a magnetized lens ski goggle with color boosting technology from Essilor Sun Solutions ™.
“REKS is on the cutting edge of goggle production in the snow sports space,” says George Granoff, CEO of REKS. “Joining the World Pro Ski Tour is a great fit for REKS because our spherical lens design offers expanded peripheral vision for this dual racing format and our Essilor lenses provide the best snow contrast available. As a direct-to-consumer company, we deliver sports performance optics at an affordable price.”
REKS will begin their partnership with the WPST at the 2021 season-opening races in Steamboat this February 6-8th, with Garret Driller, a top WPST and reigning U.S. National Parallel Slalom Champion, on the REKS team. Due to pandemic limitations of crowd sizes, the WPST races can be seen on TV only, but REKS will activate a sponsor booth in the race finish area at future events.
“We love the features of REKS goggles and we’re excited to have them join the Tour,” says Jon Franklin, CEO of the WPST. “REKS has created a product that is top-quality, affordable and easy to care for, which is something that every skier will appreciate.”
