WPST ATHLETE REGISTRATION GUIDE

Welcome to The World Pro Ski Tour!

Below is the Athlete Registration Guide for the World Championships, Taos, New Mexico
March 29 – April 1, 2023

The World Pro Ski Tour’s World Championships is coming to Taos Ski Valley, NM, March 29 – April 1, 2023. Enclosed you will find the schedule of events, and the 2023 Rules of Competition. We will be hosting a super slalom and giant slalom for both the men and women. There will only be one qualification, a super slalom for the weekend, which will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023. We will run the super slaloms on Friday, with the giant slalom to follow on Saturday. See the enclosed schedule for more details.

We will qualify 32 for the men (with 28 or more athletes racing). For the women we will qualify 16 (with 12 or more racing). The prize money will be matched for both the men and women from the round of 16 to the finals.

Our online racer portal is open for registration and payments. If you have not raced with us this year, you will need to join the tour for these events. For the new members, you must register as a member first, set up a username and password, then pay the membership fee, and entry.

For athletes attending college, you will need to send me a photo of your active college ID to be eligible for the college discount. Once received the code will be sent to you, you will need the code before you pay for your entry.

RACER REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, AT 5:00pm, MST. This will give our Taos, our staff and TV production crew time to prepare for these events.

For lodging, we are looking for discounted lodging, for now it looks like Airbnb & VRBO and a few local condo complexes may be the best options for groups. There is of course more available in Taos as well. We will keep you posted if we come up with additional options.

Athletes’ check in will be Wednesday, March 29. Due to the level of sponsors and VIP’s attending these events we would like all athletes to attend the racer meeting in person. Taos will also host a welcome reception after the athlete meeting, like last year. If you can’t be present, you must have a representative take your place. At the end of this document the Zoom call-in information is listed. Let us know if you are unable to attend in person.

Below you will find detailed information on registration and the online athlete portal. Only members can race in Taos, NM for the World Championships.
