The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) announced today that Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) will become the Official Automotive & SUV Partner of the Tour for the 2023 and 2024 Seasons. This partnership follows the launch of the Mazda CX-50, a purpose-built crossover model that helps encourage owners to explore their passions for outdoor activities.
“We are so excited to bring Mazda into our partner family,” says Jon Franklin, CEO of the World Pro Ski Tour. “Their overarching challenger spirit pairs perfectly with our dedicated athletes and Tour ethos; we welcome them in commitment to support professional outdoor sport athletes to excel at their craft.”
In partnership with Mazda over the next two years, the WPST will continue to offer races for men and women around the United States, including the 2023 Taos World Championships. Regular Tour participants include two-time Olympic gold medalist, Ted Ligety; World Champion, Olympian and U.S. Ski Team Member, Paula Moltzan; World Champion and Olympic silver medalist, Linus Strasser, and many more of the world’s top ski racers fighting for equal podium prize money.
“We believe that our customers are continuously striving to be their best and the athletes competing in The World Pro Ski Tour events are a remarkable source of inspiration,” said Brad Audet, Chief Marketing Officer, at Mazda North American Operations. “We believe time spent outdoors fuels our curiosities and inspires our lifeblood so, as more consumers engage in outdoor activities, we want to be there with them, providing a vehicle that enables their interest for an active lifestyle without compromising on the premium design and outstanding driving performance Mazda is known for.”
